Café to open for special Christmas Day event

Our community café is opening its doors on Christmas Day to welcome people who would otherwise be spending the day alone.

The Whistling Teapot will serve Christmas dinner with all the trimmings on Tuesday 25th December from 12noon and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy festive games and fellowship.

Angela Taylor, co-manager of the café, said: “Loneliness doesn’t just affect older people, so we want to encourage people of all ages who will spend the day alone to get in contact with us. The Whistling Teapot is at the heart of the community and we want to share some community Christmas spirit.”

Spaces for the free lunch are limited and pre-booking is essential. All enquiries should be made to Angela on 07542027701 by Monday 17th December.

Dietary requirements will be catered for and transport can be arranged for those who require it.
